Day 7: Scene that made you angry

The scene that made me most angry was when it was revealed that James had smothered Mary. i know now, what i didn’t know then, that he had smothered her to put her out of her misery. or at least, that’s what i see it as. back then i was angry because i thought he had killed her because he was annoyed and hated her, thus it made me angry.

Day 6: Saddest scene

this scene from the movie is probably the saddest i’ve seen out of anything in the franchise, honestly. the first time I saw it, I felt a strong sense of hopelessness. Rose and Sharon were finally home… and then you realize what really happened.

i cried the first go ‘round.

Day 5: Favorite Boss

this was actually a tough decision between Scarlet and PH. but I think PH overrules anyway. fuckin’ love him. specifically the Silent Hill 2 PH.

kind of obvious choice but, y’know. ;)

Day 4: Favorite minor enemy

not much to really say except these guys are tall, difficult, and have cool yet simplistic designs.

Day 3: Favorite secondary character

I hate Maria, although I like her, too. She’s one of the more fleshed out secondary characters… She’s interesting to me.

Day 2: Favorite protagonist

Travis is a pretty cool protagonist. I think he’s more down-to-Earth than a lot of other protagonists, despite all the things he’s gone through. I think that’s what I like about him most.

Day 1: Favorite game in the series

Silent Hill 2 has been, from the beginning, my favorite game. It’s got an atmosphere that differs greatly with all of the other games.

My friend, Jade, and I would spend a good bit of time together after school on the weekdays to play this. We had a huge walkthrough booklet with us, using that as our guide (we were both pretty scared playing it). This game means a great deal to me because those are a few of my fondest memories with Jade.

The game itself is beautiful. It really, really defines what Silent Hill is. I’m not a prick that says “if any SH game isn’t SH2, then it’s not good”, because a lot of SH games are great. This one just happens to sit above all the others.
